Help! College kid trying to buy jewelry!?
Hey, everyone...I need your advice. My girlfriend lives 5 hours away and her birthday is in January...I'm trying to find a new peridot pendant to replace the one I bought her a year ago...Well, I've been looking around and everything's either to expensive or cheap looking...She likes ornate designs and silver chains...I was looking at a severed heart pendant with two lime green peridots that fits us perfectly since we're so far apart but it was a little out of my price range...I'm shooting for under 100.00$ if possible.
Depending on what city you live in...you should have a Jewelry District somewhere in the downtown area of your city. This is a place where jewelers purchase items from other jewelers, and also sell to the public. Go down there at tell them what u are looking for and your approx budget..they will help you find a stone and even a nice setting...and whatever you do stay out of the malls stores, they average 400% markup on jewelry.
