What is your favourite kind of jewelry?
...Favourite shapes, gemstone colours? I'm getting my jewelry collection together and would like your detailed opinion(something unique, please)
I have a huge jewelry collection because I have always believed that accessories can make or break an outfit. You have to have styles of jewelry that match your wardrobe. You have to have at least the basics:
-a white pearl necklace, bracelet, and earrings: I like real pearls because the shapes are imperfect, but fake is fine, just be sure to get small pearls because big is tacky
-one plain silver and one plain gold chain: that way you can buy charms rather than whole necklaces- it's cheaper and more personal
-silver and gold hoop earrings if you have your ears pierced: get some that are somewhat small so you don't look slutty, but these match almost any outfit
-silver, gold, and diamond style studs: sometimes these are the only earrings you can wear with a necklace
After these, you can add the funky, trendy jewelry like the current colorful earrings, but get the ones you know you can match with. My favorite shapes as of now are fruit and lockets with little keys. As for geometric shapes, I love squares because they match with more and add edge to any outfit.
